I am depressed, and my family isn't helping?!?

When you look into a mirror, what do you see. It should be the most important person in the world to you. No one can take that away from you,except you(as you mentioned suicide earlier). You know you really don't want to do that. I know,I've had those thoughts and even plan before. I'm still here and have several college degrees.I also have a couple of genuine friends,one I can tell things to before I even say anything to my family. You may have someone like that in your life. there are lost's of people out there that would like to help you. You said you are popular at school, so you know how to get along with others.You are going to have to take things one at a time,and live each day with an outlook that's positive.Not as hard as you think. Just saw a program on TV where many kid's-teen's-young adults were living out of there car or living in a cheap motel because not enough money was coming in. Sounds like your family may be having some financial problems also,but it is NOT your fault. Try and do your best in school and make good grades. Talk with your guidance counselor,favorite teacher or any other adult who you can trust.Things change quickly,and I'm sure your parents are worried too! They argue,and most times money is mixed in there somewhere.Again,you do your best, and try and hook up with as many school activities,during and after, as possible.You are old enough ,get a parttime job,babysit, or volunteer for something ,OUTSIDE of your home. Remember ,first step is looking in the mirror and try and do the best with the person starring back at you.Most people are thinking about what you think about them ,not about you.And try and take it slow w/the guy you say you love, if he really loves you ,he will understand and try and help you w/your problems,as I'm sure you would do for him. I can never focus on my schoolwork?

I hate school so much. I can never focus on my work, and if someone distracts me, it takes me forever to finally get back to what I was doing. The teachers get exasperated and frustrated with me alot (I dont blame them) and often when Im doing homework I wont complete it on time just because I cant focus on it for more than about 10 minutes. I love art and music and those are the subjects Im best at. Quite honestly I would much rather draw or play my bass guitar but my parents take them away until I complete my homework. (supposed to be motivational or something). My parents think that Im just lazy but I honestly try really hard to focus and i just cant. I dont know why its so hard for me, but its frustrating and getting on my nerves. Please help me and sorry this is so long!

I believe its simply anxiety. I wouldnt recomend pills by a doctor causr it never "fixes" it but other theropy or ways to destress yourself. Its pretty normal but if it happens a lot yes it becomes a problem. Try talking to someone you trust to take things off your mind. Your probally expect too much of yourself but teach yourself to relax and that its ok. Ive had it since I was young and its just something you have to work yourself with.

So I bought a pinhole camera yesterday and I put it together and it is all fine and dandy. Me being an extremely unexperienced camera-user did not realize that film cannot be exposed to light. Well I took it out of the canister to load it into the camera and the first (approx.) 5 inches were exposed. If I just put the cover back on and advance the film so that an unexposed strip comes out for the pictures to go on, will it work ok?

I am organizing all of my sheet music into 4 different binders. I can't decide which each binder should be called though, as in what genre each peice of music in it pertains to. I need advice on pin hole leaks in my relatively new house.?

My house was built in 1999 and is 3800 sq feet. Has 4.5 baths. I have been having a few pinhole leaks in the basement over the past few years. Two different plumbers have commented on "corrosion" effect on my "red copper pipes". They feel that I may have to have the whole house re-plumbed within a few years. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE TO ANYONE. My house is a very nice, large house that is only 11-12 years old. I am being told that builders are not responsible because this "cheap" copper piping was build to code. Is it common to have to replumb entire houses that are only 11 years old???? thanks for any advice or input.

Hello! I really don't want to waste my time dragging myself to a building where being there is more important than actually learning anything, so I'm considering doing the schoolwork with a homestudying program they have. I'd love to hear some comments on how it works, what are the ups and downs et cetera. - Except for the social bit and the lack of help. The social thing really doesn't interest me, I just don't like the people in high school. Regarding the lack of help, with the time I have compared to the thirty students in one class with one teacher I have more help at my disposal. What is the age and/or value of my katana?

I am the proud new owner of a katana. The blade is 60cm long and the tang is 16 1/2cm long, total length is 79cm. The tang has file marks, no signature, and one pinhole. the blade has a hamon, which has a unique pattern. the handle is made of wood (bamboo i think) with the traditional cloth wrap and brass fittings. the sheath is also wooden with a rayskin cover and brass fittings. My ex and I have been talking since September. We have both liked each other since the first days we met but were too scared to admit it. You're not going to be able to be in films as a hobby, even extra work requires you to available when they need you, not when you feel like it. Bournemouth Uni has a famous film course where many young directors study and make student films as part of their coursework. If you aren't too committed you could try writing to them to see if they will bear you in mind when next filming. You won't get paid apart from expenses, but it can be good experience and good fun, and helps to build up a showreel - though remember you'll be against stiff competition from professionally trained actors, with agents, who are committed to their career.

How long can it take to get to the National Bowl (Milton Keynes) ?

Should I seek Professional help?

I've been depressed before, but I have recently overcome it (or so I think). I am now more capable of having fund day to day and I stopped stressing about schoolwork, but now that schools out I've been having some problems. Last summer I spent a lot of time alone and it was very therapeutic for me, but its not having the same effects now. Sometimes when I am alone I have these like mini panic attacks or something. I sit in the middle of a room in the fetal position and just cry into a pillow (so that my family won't hear) for what seems like hours but is really only between 20 and 45 minutes and I feel like my world is collapsing on to me. I just get really scared that I'll never have fun, I'll just live at my parents house for the rest of my life, never go to college, no one will ever love me, I'll somehow remain a teenager forever, and my life will remain monotonous and the boring. This is really strange I think because logically this doesn't make sense. I have nearly straight A's and a 2200 SAT score. I just have this really strong want to be an adult and I don't know why because you're supposed to love being a kid. I just all of a sudden get really scared and I can't move and I just feel like screaming. Sometimes I feel theses attacks coming on and I get really scared and I've found that I can avoid them by immediately distracting myself. Is this a medical condition? Should I tell my parents (we're not that close so it would be awkward and they would probably say I'm being a drama queen and it would be weird. I once slipped in that I used to be depressed and they rolled their eyes)? Should I just wait this out like I did with depression? I don't know it seems that I don't really heal myself when I'm having symptoms of mental problems, it just turns to something else. When I was eight i starved my self,then attempted bulimia, and then just hated my self, then was happy, then became a control freak,then was happy, then was anti-social, then was depressed, then was happy, and now I'm 17 and this. Grr, I wish my brain would get it together, this is such a bother.

Dell Laptop cd stuck?

my renault clio 51 plate 1.2 is having running problems.it was running ok ,and the engine management light was going off and on for a few weeks but it cut out at junctions but when it was driving didnt cut out .then it stopped doing it for a few weeks and was running ok ,until the other day when i checked the oil it was empty so i put some in straight away as i didnt know how long it had been with no oil,the next day i drove a 30 mile journey with no problems,then the next day when i started it up it run for about 15 seconds then cut out ,i tried to drive it but when i got a few yards around 10 it cut out on me and felt quite rough to drive ,then when i opened the bonnet i could hear a noise which sounded like it was coming from the engine only way to describe it was like tapping a spanner onto metal but not excesivley loud does anyone know what it could be as i dont want to be ripped off from a garage ,i did get the aa out and their diagnostic test showed nothing but when i had one previous to this problem e few things come up but i dont know what they were the aa man said that it had been cleared whatever that means any help would be good thx also their is a slight burning of oil or fuel smell

I only missed one question on mine and I'm really just an average student with B grades usually and sometimes A's. Can you clarify your question perhaps? A perfectionist can be really good. Don't worry about classmates getting annoyed of you. Basically they're lazy or don't try hard on the homework. Really just do your hw once perfect the first time, b/c the end result will probably be the same. Also, if you studied hard, believe in yourself. That's all there is to it. Motivate yourself to do good by rewarding yourself with an affordable luxury like candy, new clothes etc. Have a rival to compete with. There are many possibilities.

Cbr f3 fuel issue 1998 honda?

after having my bike sit for a year in a shed, I drained the tank and replaced the fuel filter. It ran great for a 1 1/2 days and then just randomly died. I finally realised today that when I drained the old fuel I sat the fuel tank and pinched the hose going into the fuel filter so there was a pinhole leak and the hose was bent so very little fuel was getting by. My question is, does it matter in what position the fuel pump sits in order for the bike to operate properly. There are two groovs for the fuel pump to sit horizontally but since I had to cut out part of the fuel hose I had to (at least for now) to position the fuel pump vertically. After I got the leak fixed I took the bike for a ride and it ran fine until I got pulled over, after I was done with the cops the bike wouldnt start, I ended up killing the battery. So again could the fact that the fuel pump sitting vertically instead of horizontally prevent the bike from starting or to run rough?

Around how much will it cost to replace my main water line?

I have a pinhole leak in my water main coming in from the curbside water meter. Probably 3/4 to 1 inch diameter...about 40-50 feet long. I've already trenched out about 1/2 to 2/3 the length, but tired of messing with it myself. Pipe is REALLY corroded, so definitely needs to be replaced. Seeking advice from college runners - thinking about running track in college?

ok so right now i have a lot of colleges trying to contact me about running track in college (I will be a senior next year). I LOVE track but I'm worried about the balance between school and running. I know it will be extremely time consuming especially if I go to a D1 school and I'm trying to be a doctor so I really need the time to devote to schoolwork. PLUS I will probably have no social life and miss out on the college experience....but then again I really do love running track. However i have until the end of july to to finish my college work which can be done in 1 solid week. My College is phoning home telling my mum i have to come to college to do the work, however my school teachers are telling me to come to school to do work and catch up. So the obvious thing would be to balance the 2...i have now OFFICIALLY FINISHED College and School however the work can still be completed late. I would usually attend college on a wednesday and friday but now i have the option to go anyday i want visa versa for school. So everyday i think to myself whether i would benefit to go to school or college the following morning and its always a clear decision, considering i have till the end of june for schoolwork and the end of july for college work its obvious what priority 1 is (school). But my college have told my mum i must go Wednesday and Friday to go complete work (and you know how teachers exagerate to parents) they say its imperitive but it really is not as i have till the end of july whereas i have other work needing completion, so my mum picks sides with my college teachers and forces me to go which is only making my schoolwork deadline get even closer. I get into big fights with my mum who is caring for my nan (so its me my mum and my nan in the house) because she has no clue about my WORK and whats best for me and the only reason she is pushing me to go college is because she does not want to look like a bad mother on the phone to my college, so we argue and im trying to stress what i know i should do and she starts going into other subjects calling me "lazy" etc, which has no relevance to the situation, if i go to college one day i can turn up whatever time i want to, so i take advantage of that by sleeping in an extra 2 hours. My nan who is just as ignorant as my mum just defends my mum even though she has no ******* clue what we are talking about and thats pisses me off more and they get abusive so so do i. And i admit im very argumentative but its because i like to get my point across and make sure the listener understands me and why im choosing my actions but these 2 ignorant people are always butting in etc. My mum and dad are divorced and they have four kida toghether including me, my dad and his side of the family are quite intelligent and i take after them however my mums side (who im now living with after my brother was not happy about me living with him and my dad) are thick as S.H.I.T. i am constantly proving them wrong but they always have an answer but never listen to me, they have no clue about how my school and college work and think im being lazy and argumentative when really im up all night stressing an struggling to complete work on time and panicking. I've been depressed before, but I have recently overcome it (or so I think). I am now more capable of having fund day to day and I stopped stressing about schoolwork, but now that schools out I've been having some problems. I sit in the middle of a room in the fetal position and just cry into a pillow (so that my family won't hear) for what seems like hours but is really only between 20 and 45 minutes and I feel like my world is collapsing on to me. I just get really scared that I'll never have fun, I'll just live at my parents house for the rest of my life, never go to college, no one will ever love me, I'll somehow remain a teenager forever, and my life will remain monotonous and the boring. This is really strange I think because logically this doesn't make sense. I have nearly straight A's and a 2200 SAT score. I just have this really strong want to be an adult and I don't know why because you're supposed to love being a kid. I just all of a sudden get really scared and I can't move and I just feel like screaming. Sometimes I feel theses attacks coming on and I get really scared and I've found that I can avoid them by immediately distracting myself. Is this a medical condition? Should I tell my parents (we're not that close so it would be awkward and they would probably say I'm being a drama queen and it would be weird. I once slipped in that I used to be depressed and they rolled their eyes)? Should I just wait this out like I did with depression? I don't know it seems that I don't really heal myself when I'm having symptoms of mental problems, it just turns to something else. When I was eight i starved my self,then attempted bulimia, and then just hated my self, then was happy, then became a control freak,then was happy, then was anti-social, then was depressed, then was happy, and now I'm 17 and this. Should I do the IB program or dual enrollment?

IB is a complete joke. People in that program are arrogant and stuck up, and mostly are social outcasts. I would highly recommend staying at your high school and developing social skills with your group of classmates. Don't get me wrong education is very important and you will have a ton of time to learn everything in college and after college. But one of the most important things a person can have is social skills. Without social skills and being able to deal with people you will get nowhere in life. I would suggest that you stay away from the IB program. I did the pre-IB program for two years and I was surrounded by a bunch of social misfits who thought that they were the smartest people alive. I ditched that program and did AP and I entered college with 24 credits. Alot of IB students did not get credit for their work at my university. The kids at the AP program were alot more normal and socially skilled. IB students are the most arrogant pieces of crap you will find in this world. Stay normal, get smart in college, pick up social skills and you will succeed.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but it seems like you would need to know how long it takes the breath to enter the balloon and how often you breathe into it. If you blow into it once, then allow it to deflate before blowing into it again, you'd never fill it more than the 8.33% a single breath would provide.

Fallout New Vegas Saving the BoS from Mr .House?

I know in the quest(The House Always Wins,V) that Mr. House wants you to kill the Brotherhood of steel but in the Fallout game guide it says on page 94 on the completion stage "Inform Mr. House that you've negotiated peace with the Brotherhood of steel, or have destroyed their bunker" and it also says that on the first part of the quest"Journey to the strange, desolate, and windswept Hidden Valley, and enter the western bunker . You can kill the Brotherhood of steel(as Mr. House wants) or ally with them. The Brotherhood of steel would make a fine fighting force for the battle to come... if you can convince them!" So seeing that i think you CAN save the BoS from Mr. House but how! Can someone help. Thanks

Too many processes running on Windows 7. Help!?

Hi, I have an HP laptop about a year old and it recently started freezing up constantly. I figured out I had about 85 processes running and that was most likely the cause (Or so I hope.) I'm going through and trying to clear out all the programs I don't need. I came across a whole lot of programs that I don't know exactly what they do. I mainly use the computer for schoolwork, facebook, e-mail, photoshop, iTunes, watching DVDs, and things of that sort. I don't do much gaming on it. I'm not sure if this is too broad of a question, but what are the minimum processes that I should be running? I tried doing some research on all of the processes, but most of it didn't make much sense to me. Secondly, could it be the processes making it freeze up? It'll run for maybe 5 minutes, freeze, and then I have to power it down. If I take the battery out and leave it for a while it'll work for maybe a half hour and then freeze again. It runs on Safe Mode fine though. This is kind of two questions in one but could anyone help me? I'm desperate here. ANY help is appreciated. THANK YOU! (:

My ford zx2 is having trouble....?

I have a 2001 Ford Escort Zx2 with 98K, Recently I have been having problems with it-At first while driving, the car slowly died on the side of road, it got hard to steer etc. I kept trying to re-start it but everytime I put it in drive in shut back down. Finally after 15 minutes I got it to start and drove in home, It was loud and making a cranking noise, Once when i hit the brakes, it broke down again. Took it to my mechanic, he put a thermostat housing on it, changes spark plugs and did a coolant flush-it was also leaking anti freeze and he said there was little pinholes in a pipe that wrapped around the engine and he repaired it. Now, two weeks later, after running fine, The car would not start, it turned over, but couldnt make the final start. My mechanic came and pressed something while i was trying to start it and it started up, He said it needed re-wireing, but now he says its the head gasket...how can this be if my car runs and doesn't overheat? he is only 95% sure, and for such a big job I feel like it has to be 100% ....What else could be wrong? did I mention I JUST bought this car 2 months ago, from a good friend I have known for a long time who NEVER had any problems with it.

How to not take astronomy?

My gf hates science. So she's going to take astronomy for her science credit. BUT, my major requires chemistry. So I'm going to take chemistry in the fall. She says that she absolutely CANNOT take astronomy alone without me, so I'm going to take chemistry and astronomy next year. The thing is, I really don't want to take astronomy. I'd really like to get another class out of the way this fall, like english 2. I'm already taking chemistry, calculus, and computer science, and I feel like taking astronomy on top of those 3 might be too hard, and it would probably be better to take a non-science class. I do have a little interest in astronomy, but not much, and I don't want to take the class. And my gf doesn't understand that and is begging me to take it saying she needs me. IDK what to do! I don't want to fight with her anymore over this. But I don't want to be overwhelmed with schoolwork next semester. Help?

Can i still easily get into college if i get a ged?

Passing the GED with a good score is not easy. And not all colleges accept a student with a GED. College level work is going to be much harder and more intense than HS. Most 18 year olds have trouble adjusting. I do not recommend going to college earlier. And you may be more prepared for college work by finishing HS.

I've heard there is a way to convert vyvanse (ADHD medicine) into adderall, how would one do that?

I have vyvanse (prescribed) but it doesn't seem to work. If I remember correctly, someone told me there is some type of protein one could find in a health store (such as GNC) that converts vyvanse back into adderall RX through some chemical process.(??) The difference between vyvanse and adderall is that after adderall is ingested the effects are more immediate and therefore, more noticeable for me. On the other hand, vyvanse is extended release, being released later through digestion and lasting/peaking with milder effects for longer/later in the day. I want to convert vyvanse into adderall for the purpose that adderall is the only ADHD med i have taken that works consistently, because the gradual peak of focus doesn't cut it for me. I need to go hard or go home, basically. I would not abuse this drug so don't even start. But even the adderall extended release (XR- not to be confused with RX, regular adderall) doesn't cut it. Feeling the effects immediately tends to give me the drive from the start of the day to get my priorities in check. SIDENOTE: Vyvanse does help me concentrate, but I still feel the effects of my ADHD as so: I can focus, but only on things that interest me, otherwise I can't even start to concentrate on schoolwork. With adderall RX I have been able to focus on anything I must focus on. The only reason I have not been prescribed adderall is because they usuallyprescribe the extended release version (adderall XR) or vyvanse to young adults for fear of abuse. I know adderall RX works, however, because i have taken it from a friend for finals in the past, taking reasonable doses. Also, with extended release, i have trouble sleeping at night, as the lasting effects keep me awake. If anyone can help me turn my vyvanse capsules back into the adderall RX form, that would be awesome!! I'm a bright kid, but my ADHD has been a factor in many of my shortcomings. I hope to one day work as a chemist, help me start my first self-motivated lab! :)

Photography/ camera art?

Tossing the camera in the air? I don't know any experienced photographers who would throw their expensive camera in the air and trust their fielding skills to keep it from smashing on the ground. I might try it with an inexpensive point-and-shoot that I didn't mind destroying. This sounds like some kooky idea thought up by someone who perceived himself as "artistic". If you stick with photography, you will eventually learn that the gimmick or passing fad dies quite quickly. None of them have anything to do with art.

What if you're just too lazy to follow any religion?

I come from a Muslim family, and I'm 15 y/o. I'm not really sure what I believe in though, and frankly, I'm just too lazy to delve into a search to find that out. I like knowledge and seeking it, but pertaining to the subject of my religion, I'm really not that interested. I like delving into spiritual journeys but not necessarily religious ones. What group does that make me apart of then? I'm not technically an atheist (I think) because I don't deny all deities. But I'm not part of any religion because I'm not sure if there is a god or higher divine power so I won't go and proclaim there is one. Plus, I don't feel like following a specific religious dogma.. I don't know if there is a god; I don't know if there isn't one, and, like I said above, I'm pretty lazy to find out (lol).

The symptoms you described can relate to a number of different problems/illnesses. I would suggest going to a doctor and possible getting an MRI. My advice is to not self diagnose yourself using the internet as your guide.

Anybody with an Orion XT something?

I am having issues with culmination lately on my xt10 where I set it with the dot looking perfectly in the center of the circle on the mirror looking through the focuser cap with the pinhole in it. After I gently carry it outside and up a hill by my house look around for a few hours and come back in I check it again and it is always off again. I loosen the thin long hand screws then adjust the wider knobs until it is centered then tighten down the long narrow ones again to hold it in place and it always needs to be done again after I carry it around. I am super gentle with it because it cost me a ton of money so I don't think I'm jostling it out of place. Am I doing something wrong?

Am I a responsible pet owner?

I have a rabbit, a guinea pig (I am currently trying to find a friend for her), and 2 rats. My rats live in my room, in a large bird cage with 3 added levels and tons of hammocks and toys (I typed the dimensions into several cage calculators including ones that include levels and it fits 2 rats comfortably). My guinea pig lives in a Midwest Pets Guinea Habitat cage that is similar to a C&C cage. It is 7.5 square feet and when I find a friend for her I am buying another so it will be 15 square feet. My rabbit lives outside in a very safe and secure situation. First of all, I live in the city Eugene, Oregon so there is very mild weather here. It rains a lot but temperatures don't ever go below 15 or 20 degrees Fahrenheit and don't go above 95 degrees at the most. In my yard there is a large wooden frame covered in chicken wire, with a roof, and a door (that securely latches.) It is about a 5 or 6 foot square. Inside of that, is a wire cage, the length of the enclosure, attached to the wooden frame. The whole thing is right under a bunch of tall shady trees and bushes, it is never sunny there. In the winter we put Plastic around 3 1/2 sides of the enclosure, so that he is warm and safe from the rain/wind. It also makes it hard for predators to get in or scare him. We provide him with plenty of hay to burrow in in the winter. In the summer we take the plastic off all sides except the side that the back of his cage is on (so predators can't get to the cage as easily), but it is still very well ventilated. His cage is about 10.5 square feet and 18 inches high. Even though his cage has a wire bottom, about 1/4 of it is always covered with a large generous handful or hay so he never has to sit on the wire. I change the hay daily and I scrape out the droppings/hay under the cage weekly. Also weekly, I wash and disinfect his food/water dishes and scrape the bottom of the cage. I also spray the area under the cage with bleach. For exercise, My rabbit has a 6 foot by 6 foot dog kennel with a roof and wire on the bottom. The kennel is in the shade over some nice grass. There is a stool for him to play on and some brick platforms too that I made. I put him in it every day for at least 1 or 2 hours, but usually 4 or 5 hours (more on the weekends). I don't put him out if it is raining really hard or very windy. I give my guinea pig exercise in a large corner of my basement that I covered in towels/blankets and then put a pen around the corner. I spread her veggies all around and she also has boxes/toys to play with. She runs around for about 2 or 3 hours a day. For my rats, I have very thoroughly rat proofed my room and I let them out while I do some of my homework or whenever I have time to watch them, usually at least 1 hour, but more often 2 or 3 hours. For diet, my rabbit and guinea pig get 1/8 cup Oxbow pellets (guinea pig for the guinea pig and rabbit pellets for the rabbit of course) and 1 packed cup, or 2 loose cups of vegetables. They also get a large handful of unlimited orchard grass hay. My rats get a handful of Harlan Teklad lab blocks and about 1 tablespoon each of treats/fruits/veggies. I spot clean my guinea pig and rat cages daily, and clean the whole cage weekly. Here is the thing: This description of what I do is really what I try very hard to do, but sometimes I get really busy with homework/chores/events and things I have to go to. So sometimes I don't have time to spot clean, or do a whole cage clean, sometimes I clean the cage every 2 weeks, or I can't spot clean for a couple days. Sometimes I don't have time to let my bunny out, or it's raining. This is not really on a super regular basis, but it happens and I feel really bad. I really really want to give them best care I can to my animals but school and parents seem to get in the way a lot. If I stopped doing my schoolwork, then my parents would make me get rid of my pets. I have a very special bond with each of them and I also let my rabbit run around my fenced yard. He sticks close to me and follows me around. If I go inside to get a tissue, he will be waiting at the door for me. I love them very much. In the summer things like that won't happen very much, and next year I am going to a school with less homework, but 1 hour longer than most school days. I think it will be a better fit and I will have more time for my animals. In general am I a responsible pet owner?
