Disk drive stuck after all tricks and suggestions. Also,icon missing. What to do?

Tried all other suggestions, power lite is on, tried the pinhole, eject btn doesn't work, and the icon is missing in "My Computer." Also tried the regedit trick and cd/DVDROM selection is not located in Device Manager... HEEEELLPP, please !!
