Will pinhole glasses cure my astigmatism?

I have astigmatism on my right eye when I close my right I and read something with my left I could read it clearly but when I close my left eye and read with my right its blurry and I cant reall see. If I use pinhole glasses will it cure the astigmatism that I have on only one of my eyes. Like one of my eyes are normal the other one has asigmatism. Will the pinhole glasses have a negative effect on the normal eye.
